This research aims to investigate the digital skills of teachers and create an educational product that develops and enhances the digital skills of educators. Methodologically, it constitutes qualitative research of an applied nature. The theoretical reflection is based on authors such as Perrenoud (2000), Petersen and Tonnesen (2006) to discuss the concept of digital competence; as well as, it presents the guidelines of the references of teaching digital competence. The construction of the educational product - a self-instructional xMOOC course - contemplated three categories of the Common Framework of Digital Competence and two areas of pedagogical competences proposed by the European Framework for the Digital Competence of Educators that integrate the categories proposed by the Common Framework of Digital Competence. Based on the guiding guidelines, the ADDIE Model was applied to structure the scope of the course and the pedagogical design to be used in each teaching module. The creation of the educational product, which had its first validation stage applied in an on-site continuing education event with teachers of municipal basic education. This stage made it possible to think about content and course design adjustments.
