SUMMARY:

One of the challenges faced by music teachers in the current context of Basic Education in Brazil is engaging their students given the lack of modern alternatives to explore musical concepts. The use of technological resources has proven promising in enhancing students' experience, seeking effective strategies to spark interest and active participation in musical learning. This ongoing research explores the use of Scratch for Music and Educational Technologies classes in elementary education. Based on the creative learning concepts of Mitchel Resnick, this study employs a focus group approach as its methodology and aims to explore Scratch's potential as a tool to integrate these two concepts. Expected outcomes include analyzing the benefits of using Scratch for music education, proposing an accessible didactic sequence to apply this approach in the basic education context, offering new perspectives on teaching music and technology, and promoting a more engaging and meaningful learning experience for students.
