RESUMO:

The present study deals with the socialization of freshmen at a federal educational institution. Inserted in the Research Line of “Organization and Memories of Pedagogical Spaces in Professional and Technological Education”, of the Graduate Program in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT), it will have as locus the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do South (IFRS) and will seek to analyze the knowledge and procedures necessary for the reception and integration of new employees, in order to propose a manual/protocol that provides theoretical and practical subsidies to improve the conduct of the socialization process by People Management (GP), on the Farroupilha campus. Therefore, it is theoretically and methodologically based on the Analysis of Movements of Meaning, and the production of data will take place from the referential literature on the subject and by the application of an online form, which will cover the servers working in the sectors GPs from all IFRS campuses, in order to describe the strategic actions used by them and identify their perceptions about the knowledge necessary for the socialization of newcomers. In addition, another online form will be sent to new entrants in the period between 2018 and 2021, seeking to identify their perceptions of the institutional socialization process. From the analysis of the data and the syntheses carried out, it is intended to elaborate an educational product (manual/protocol) that systematizes the necessary knowledge for the conduct of the referred process by the servers of the GP of the Farroupilha campus. Through this study, it is expected to contribute with the institution to the achievement of institutional goals. It is believed that improving socialization processes constitutes a posture that can positively affect the institution's performance in terms of professional and technological education. The educational product may be an auxiliary tool to the GP servers on the Farroupilha campus, and it is also possible to adapt it to the other campuses. It will also be made available in a public repository with free access to other researchers or institutions interested in the subject.
