RESUMO:

Within the scope of the Graduate Program in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT), this research proposal aims to analyze the relevance of art teaching as an important component for an integral and emancipatory formation in the first year of high school. The study starts from the curiosity to know how much Professional and Technological Education (EPT) students recognize Art as an active participant and potentiator of this process. From Marx's theory, seek to apprehend the main Marxist precepts that are related to art, as well as authors who rely on these studies, and also, authors who justify the importance of Art-education for human development. For the basis of the study, exploratory research with a qualitative and applied approach will be used. The steps of the empirical work will involve: bibliographic procedures, field research, application of online questionnaires to teachers and students of IFRS through the google forms platform, in order to understand the prior knowledge that students have about artistic careers and how the teacher’s articulate knowledge in art with the world of work. And to put an end to the elaboration of the educational product, which, we hope, will serve as training and support for teachers, relying on didactic strategies as a way to enhance integral training in the Integrated High School stage. At the end of this research, the aim is to clarify the importance that the knowledge of learning art and about art can exert for an omnilateral formation.
