SUMMARY:
This work aims to analyze how Industry 4.0 is approached in teaching practice at the technical level of Professional and Technological Education. The research will follow a predominantly qualitative exploratory approach, with data collection through documentary and bibliographic research and questionnaire application to teachers at a technical school in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre. Furthermore, it is proposed to create a Training Course for educators, to promote understanding of the concepts of Industry 4.0, as an educational product. The relevance of this work lies in the need to understand and improve the Industry 4.0 approach in school practice, especially in technical courses. The analysis of school practice will start from the curricula and will identify strengths, gaps and good teaching practices. Understanding how Industry 4.0 is studied in public technical schools is essential to ensure training that is more aligned with the new needs and trends resulting from this Industry 4.0 transformation process. Furthermore, the creation of video-based teacher training offers a more dynamic and engaging approach for teachers to reflect and consolidate the concepts of Industry 4.0 in a practical way. Based on the research results and the analyzes carried out, conclusions and practical recommendations will be drawn to improve curricula and especially school practices. These recommendations will aim to provide more qualified training prepared for the challenges of the world of work at the beginning of the 21st Century. It is expected that this work will contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the area of Professional and Technological Education, providing subsidies to improve teacher training.
