SUMMARY:

The present study has as its object of analysis the Decola project and its capacity to develop human emancipation through Digital Education. The Decola project is a social action developed by the ONG Coletivo Autônomo Morro da Cruz, aimed at people aged 14 to 18. According to information published on the institution's website, the purpose of the Decola project is to promote the autonomy and protagonism of these young people through inclusion in the world of job, strengthening their self-esteem and citizenship. To this end, the Decola project works on three main fronts: digital education, preparation for entering the job market (employability) and renewing interest in studies. All of this has as its backdrop the peripheral area of the Morro da Cruz community, which is located in the east zone of Porto Alegre’s city (RS). The actions involving the project are developed in a space not regular of education and are divided into six disciplines: Financial and routine organization, Valuing life, Futuration (education for employability), Emotional development, English and Computing. The methodology used for this study is based on the following steps: documental analysis of the material found on the premises of the ONG Coletivo Autônomo Morro da Cruz, and semi-structured interviews with members who participate directly or indirectly in the Decola project, such as educators, students and course graduates. The guiding theoretical concepts are: digital education, job, emancipatory education and spaces not regular of education. Finally, regarding the creation of an educational product, the perspective is to develop educational material that will contribute to the continuation and strengthening of digital education in the Decola project, through the theoretical basis that underpins EPT. The data collected will be analyzed based on the fundamental theoretical categories that support the qualitative study that is underway.
