RESUMO:

The present research proposal has as main objective to investigate the process of translation and interpretation of Translators Interpreters of Libras/Portuguese (TILSP) who work in the context of ProfEPT, in order to contribute to the development of competences and translation skills of these professionals. The study starts from the difficulty in finding specific materials from the conceptual bases of Vocational and Technological Education (EPT) translated into Libras and the impact on how much this makes the process of translation and interpretation difficult. For this investigation, we will adopt a qualitative approach of an exploratory nature, especially since there are few studies focused on the accessibility in Libras of the basic concepts of EPT. In this way, we sought greater familiarity with the research problem by means of a bibliographic survey on the process of translation and interpretation of Libras, addressing aspects necessary to carry out this work. In addition, the study will present a research-participant profile, based on the empirical method of investigation, with the application of online questionnaires to TILSPs that work in Associated Institutions that offer ProfEPT and semi-structured interviews, to be carried out with professionals (TILSP) who work in the IFRS ProfEPT. As an educational product proposal, we suggest the creation of an online environment for studies and research of specific EPT concepts in the form of a bilingual glossary (Libras/Portuguese) that will be available for consultation in digital media; however, the concrete definition of this product will be completed after the first stage of the research. With this work, we hope to minimize the main implications that the difficulty in finding specific concepts of EPT in Libras may have on the performance of professional Translators Interpreters.
