RESUMO:

The proposal of this work stems from a challenge encountered by this researcher in his insertion in the Postgraduate Programme in Vocational and Technological Education (ProfEPT), since, when performing the subject Conceptual Bases of EFA, it was noticed little systematisation of Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) in the interpretation of fundamental concepts, worked in the subject, for their understanding. The main purpose of this subject is to articulate education, work and human development, being a fundamental pillar for the Vocational and Technological Education course. However, based on the interpretation offered to us, we noticed that the lack of a systematisation of Marxist-oriented term-signs made the work of Educational Translators and Interpreters more difficult. This fact also revealed the inexistence of signs created to correspond to certain concepts worked in the subject. Given this difficulty and the absence of similar material, we propose the creation of a glossary of term-signs for concepts based on Marxist theory. Our research problem is about how the creation of a Libras-Portuguese glossary of term-signs can help to greater systematization of Libras and to valorize and respect the Deaf Community? Our general objective is to improve the understanding of Marxist concepts, through the creation and socialization of a Libras-Portuguese glossary of key concepts. In terms of methodology, the process of this research is based on the development of a qualitative study that will use action research and participant research to produce and evaluate the glossary, taking into account the experience and involvement of professionals in the area, searching for the main recurring terms in texts and videos studied in the course in order to generate our work corpus based on this recurrence. After selecting the most worked concepts, we will demonstrate these concepts to people involved with the ProfEPT: a teacher at IFRS, who works with Marxist theory, an IFRS interpreter, who has worked in some discipline that has Marxist theory as a basis, and deaf students associated with the partner institutions of the Federal Network, who have already attended a course that is based on Marxist theory. This process will be carried out through interviews and will take into account the survey of the terms in which doubts arise more, as well as the evaluation of our final product. We aim to discuss the relevance of including the terms raised in a glossary proposal, considering the contributions of these various actors. After the interviews, we will start the creation and later the video recording of the translation/interpretation in signs, based on the contributions of the indicated participants. The result of this material will be discussed with the deaf community and other members of an educational process, in the Marxist theory (teachers, interpreters and students of ProfEPT), through a new interview. Our expectation is the creation of an educational product, available free of charge, which presents users with the terms, explanations of the concepts and signage for Libras. Our glossary will be available on the Youtube platform with free access to anyone interested. Based on the creation of this product, we will establish reflections on the importance of the presence of glossaries for the continued training of Educational Translators and Interpreters of Libras, as well as for the social inclusion of deaf students.
