INDUSTRY 4.0: ANALYSIS OF THE MEANINGS ASSIGNED BY GRADUATORS OF TECHNICAL COURSES

Industry 4.0; Working class; Professional and Technological Education; Technical Course.

The present study deals with the Industry 4.0 theme and its reflection in technical courses. Inserted in the Research Line of “Organization and Memories of Pedagogical Spaces in Professional and Technological Education”, of the Graduate Program in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT), the following question was asked: what are the meanings attributed by the Graduates of the Technical Courses of the Technical School José César de Mesquita, in Porto Alegre, to Industry 4.0?. The objective of this research is to analyze the meanings attributed by the graduates of the Technical Courses of the José César de Mesquita Technical School, in Porto Alegre, to Industry 4.0, with the purpose of proposing a professional training course that provides theoretical and practical subsidies that contribute to training criticism of the working class. It is classified as applied, with a qualitative approach and is theoretically and methodologically based on the Analysis of Movements of Senses, and the production of data will occur from bibliographical and field research. It will have as its locus the José César de Mesquita Technical School and its universe, which includes two professors responsible for the curricular units of Sociology of Work and Advanced Topics, a pedagogical coordinator, a school manager and 2,635 graduates of Technical Courses since 2014. For employees, a semi-structured interview will be applied and, for graduates, an online questionnaire with open and closed questions. It is intended to reach a sample of 20% of graduates. Based on the data analysis and the compendium carried out, it is intended to develop an educational product, in the form of a professional training course, for employees of the Mesquita Technical School, which allows reflection on the subject, so that the pedagogical work carried out contributes to the critical formation of the working class.
