SUMMARY:

The theme of this project refers to the memories of actions aimed at access, permanence and

Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS), through specific policy, especially the actions of
the Center for Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous Studies (NEABI) of this Institute. This project is
being developed within the scope of the Professional Master's Program in Professional and
Technological Education (ProfEPT), IFRS/Campus Porto Alegre, in the Research Line
Organization and Memories of Pedagogical Spaces in Professional and Technological
Education (EPT), macroproject 4: History and Memories in the context of EPT. Its object of
investigation is institutional actions aimed at access, permanence and success of indigenous
students, its general objective is to recover the memories of actions aimed at such purposes
developed by – IFRS, taking into account the pre-existing institutional scenario for them. .
Based on the results obtained, the aim is to develop an educational product about the most
effective institutional actions to achieve the intended purposes. The research aims, therefore,
to evoke memories of institutional actions and their effectiveness for an inclusive education
for indigenous students. The data will be obtained from the IFRS Center for Afro-Brazilian
and Indigenous Studies (NEABI), among other documents. In methodological terms, this
research is applied in nature, with a qualitative approach and exploratory purpose. The
procedures to be carried out involve document analysis, especially those pertinent to current
educational legislation and institutional normative instruments related to inclusion,
permanence and success policies. In this sense, the political-administrative flows of the
Center for Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous Studies (NEABI) will be analyzed. Additionally,
semi-structured interviews will be carried out with the different segments involved with this
policy, such as employees responsible for student assistance, academic records coordinator
and members of NEABI. With the research data collected, the aim is to develop an
educational product whose main objective will be to contribute to the access, retention and
success of indigenous students. The educational product generated by the research will be an
instrument of educational management and support for the action of all those who, in the
institution, work for successful educational inclusion, contributing to the achievement of the
institution's educational objectives.
