Educational practices for the promotion of gender equality in non-formal spaces of the EPT: demands and challenges based on listening to working women from a Collective of Artisans in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre

This Professional Master’s in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT) project will be developed in the Teaching - Professional and Technological Education – EPT concentration area, in the research line Educational Practices in Professional and Technological Education (EPT), in Macroproject 2 – Inclusion and diversity in formal and non-formal teaching spaces at EPT. The study focuses on the actions developed by a Collective of Women, which was created from the articulation of female workers who graduated from an Initial and Continued Training Course (FIC) offered by IFRS – Viamão campus, from 2014 to 2015 This non-school space acts in the dissemination of initiatives aimed at the inclusion of women in the world of work and the continuity of their schooling processes, constituting a space where women artisans inspire seek to inspire each other and together promote actions aimed at promoting sustainability , solidary economy and reception. Therefore, the focus of this study is to understand the potentialities and difficulties faced by these women from listening to them, producing theoretical and methodological subsidies for the improvement of teaching practices within the scope of EPT. In methodological terms, the study will be qualitative and will include bibliographic research, document analysis and participant research. The latter will be carried out by listening to women who are part of the Collective from its creation to the present day and, for this purpose, interviews and the application of a structured questionnaire will be used as instruments. Subsequently, the data produced will be systematized into categories taking as reference the studies carried out by Bardin (2016), whose analyzes will subsidize the elaboration of proposals for (05) thematic workshops to be developed in partnership with the Women's Collective. The results produced will be systematized through the elaboration of an educational product in the form of an e-book, whose focus will be to inspire other initiatives in other non-school contexts in order to contribute to the promotion of gender equity in the context of EPT.
