SUMMARY:

This research project is associated with the Professional Master's Degree in Professional and Technological Education in a National Network (ProfEPT), offered at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS) Campus Porto Alegre, within the research line of Educational Practices in Professional and Technological Education (EPT), within the broader project of Methodological Proposals and Teaching Resources in Formal and Non-Formal Teaching Environments in EPT. The research theme on self-regulated learning arises from the researcher’s professional experience in EPT, as a Technician in Educational Affairs within the Student Guidance Sector (OE) of Teaching Management at IFRS Campus Restinga. The objective is to investigate how self-regulated learning can contribute to the retention and success of students in the Integrated High School with Professional and Technological Education. This research employs an action research methodology with a qualitative approach, of an applied nature and with the goal of exploratory study. Data collection will involve documentary analysis. Qualitative data analysis will be conducted using Discursive Textual Analysis (DTA). The development of the educational product (EP) will be based on the analysis of qualitative data obtained through the technical procedures described above. The evaluation of the EP will be conducted by applying a questionnaire with open and closed questions to the Teaching Management staff at IFRS Campus Restinga. It is expected to contribute to the retention and success of students in the Integrated High School (EMI) at the Federal Institutes (IFs).
