SUMMARY:

This research aims to understand how the inclusion of students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) occurs within the scope of Professional and Technological Education through Peer Tutoring (PT). To do this, we will analyze the pedagogical process - peer tutoring - which takes place through the selection of a scholarship monitor linked to the Center for Assistance to People with Specific Educational Needs - Napne, on two IFRS campuses. The research problem is based on the question: Is Peer Tutoring a resource that helps the process of including students with autism spectrum disorder in Professional Education? To answer this question, we will study the experience of students with ASD enrolled in Integrated High School who receive this pedagogical and socio-pedagogical support from a scholarship holder/monitor (tutor), selected and supervised by Napne on their respective campuses. This research is of an applied nature with a qualitative approach. Semi-structured interviews will be used in the field research and, to interpret the data, discursive textual analysis will be used with the theoretical contribution of professional and technological education, inclusive education, and literature on ASD and PT, used as a reference in this I study. The topic's relevance is justified by the scarcity of publications: a) focused on the inclusion of students with ASD in adolescence, b) on peer tutoring within the scope of inclusive education, and c) on the inclusion of students with ASD in EPT. Based on field research, the Educational Product (EP) will be developed to assist in the theoretical support of scholarship students. The format will be defined based on field research. The EP will cover information about Autism Spectrum Disorder such as: diagnostic criteria, characteristics of the disorder, communicative and social skills, and other aspects that will emerge from field research.
