SUMMARY:

This research project will be developed as part of the Professional Master's Degree in Professional and Technological Education, which is part of the Graduate Program in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT) at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS). Its theoretical orientation is based on an omnilateral conception of education, envisioning democratic management as essential for the formation of critical, participatory and autonomous subjects. With this in mind, the aim is to analyze and propose alternative courses of action that encourage the participation of IFRS - Restinga Campus
students in deliberative bodies (councils, committees and/or commissions, etc.) which, in addition to being considered bodies that collaborate with the process of democratic management, the improvement of the educational process and ensuring the implementation of IFRS policies, can contribute to the omnilateral education of its members. The aim of this analysis is to produce an educational product that will help
encourage the participation of students from the Campus in deliberative bodies. This is a descriptive type of research, with an exploratory dimension, which will be developed following a qualitative approach, accompanied by quantitative treatment. To this end, documentary analysis, bibliographical research and field research involving a case study will be used. 20% of the total number of students enrolled on the technical courses at the IFRS - Restinga Campus will take part, making a total of 86, who will answer a questionnaire with open and closed questions, as well as the coordinators of the courses involved, of whom there are 7. The aim of this research is to find out about actions that encourage student participation in the deliberative bodies of the educational institution involved, thereby contributing to the development of an educational product that helps with this movement and collaborates with the process of democratic management, the improvement of the educational process and the omnilateral training of its members. In conclusion, this research project will
be able to contribute to the researcher's academic training, as it will provide support for the production of the dissertation and educational product that is part of the Professional Master's Degree course in Professional and Technological Education that she is attending, as well as stimulating the participation of IFRS - Restinga Campus students in the deliberative bodies that are part of the IFRS - Restinga Campus students in the deliberative bodies that are part of its management.
