INFLUENCE OF BANANA PSEUDOSTEM FIBER ON THE FLEXURAL STRENGTH OF CONCRETE
fiber-reinforced concrete, vegetable fibers, natural fibers, structural performance, chemical treatment of fibers.
This work aims to deepen the understanding of the use of vegetable fibers from banana pseudostems incorporated into concrete. The intention is to evaluate the influence of adding these fibers on the flexural tensile strength of the material, as well as to verify if the chemical treatment of the fibers contributes to improving their performance. To this end, specimens of conventional concrete (without added fibers) and reinforced concrete with different fiber contents will be molded, allowing for a comparison between the performances obtained and the identification of the most efficient incorporation percentage.
