PATHWAYS TO INCLUSION: NEUROSCIENCE AND PLAYFULNESS IN THE LITERACY OF STUDENTS WITH ASD
Literacy; Autism Spectrum Disorder; Neuroscience.
This master's degree research project aims to understand the contributions of Neuroscience and playfulness to the acquisition of reading and writing by students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The justification is based on the scarcity of academic productions that articulate these three axes. The adopted methodology is bibliographical research, of a qualitative nature, with searches in repositories such as Capes and SciELO. The theoretical foundation addresses Magda Soares's concepts of literacy and the neurobiological processes of reading according to Stanislas Dehaene, highlighting the phonic method and the development of phonological awareness. As an educational product, the research proposes the development of a pedagogical box with games aimed at literacy for students with ASD, focusing on phonological processing, visual organization, and the structuring of activities for use in Multifunctional Resource Rooms.
